NWVYC has always been about improving navigation and seamanship skills and over the year’s members have produced some great navigation aids which work well in conjunction with the Cruising Anglesey and adjoining waters. Finally these aids have been brought together to download in the members area the 2016 Cruising Compendium. This isn’t a rigid publication if you have any interesting articles and feel you’d like to share it then contact the Vice Commodore where we will endeavor to include it.
Officers of the Day
We need members to come forward and volunteer for Officer of the Day (OOD) duties (see yearbook for an outline of duties). To find out more visit the OOD Webpage
The Club runs 5 or 6 cruiser races as part of the normal weekend destinations for those who wish to test their sailing skills against others. Our new “Racing Guideline" publication (available in the members area to download) should make taking part easier than ever. It’s less fraught without the rules and regulations of traditional racing.
All are welcome to join in.
Mike Butterfield is our Racing and Handicap Coordinator and he will be happy to give you a competitive handicap on request.
The club hosts RYA shorebased training courses run by Richard Forder with the occasional training weekend in conjunction with the RNLI Beaumaris.
Socials with local clubs
Within the Sailing Programme we will be visiting and also playing host to some of the local Yacht Clubs – watch the Venturer, Web Site, Facebook for more details.
If you have an idea for the programme please let us know!
After all its your programme.
